Which session should I join?
We recommend joining the session that works best for your summer schedule. Instructional coaches and admins are welcome to join any session but will have some additional support in the sessions for coaches.
Do I need to do anything to prepare for the session?
Nope! Just come eager and willing to learn from fellow educators!
How do I RSVP?

How will I attend this virtual event?
We will send you an email before the event with links to join a Zoom webinar. No additional registration is needed before the event. We recommend viewing from the Zoom app. You can learn more and download before the event here.
What if I miss the event?
If you are unable to attend a live workshop, you can always complete the Newsela Certified Educator online course. This is self-paced and will also earn 5 hours of PD. Learn more here.
Is there a cost to attend?
Nope! This is a free event for all educators. Invite your friends!
Are there any prerequisites to attend?
We recommend having your Newsela teacher account ready to go in advance of the workshop. We will guide you through the next steps through the workshop.
Can I receive a certificate for attending to use as professional development?
Educators that attend the live sessions will receive a follow up email with a certificate for 5 hours of professional learning. Please confirm with your school or district leaders for validation of these PD hours. We can not validate at the school, district or state level.
